Lukas co-founded CrowdFlower. He has worked as a Senior Scientist and Manager within the Ranking and Management Team at Powerset, Inc., a natural language search technology company later acquired by Microsoft, and also led the Search Relevance Team for Yahoo! Japan. He graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Mathematics and an MS in Computer Science. Lukas is also an expert-level Go player.
Chris co-founded CrowdFlower. He was previously a technical product manager at Powerset, Inc., a natural language search technology company later acquired by Microsoft. Chris has worked as a studio artist, computer scientist, and web engineer, and pours his diverse background into his role as Chief Technology Officer. He combines deep design insight with crisp, minimalist coding abilities that enables him to produce anything — soup-to-nuts applications — sometimes within minutes. Chris studied both art and computer science at Hope College.
Prior to joining CrowdFlower, Richard acted as CFO and Executive VP, Strategy and Corporate Development, at several major Bay Area companies including Charles Schwab & Co. and Phoenix Technologies. He has also served on the Boards of various NASDAQ and foreign stock exchange listed companies including Intellisync and Edgewave. Richard has a BSc in Psychology and completed the Executive Program in Finance at Stanford University. We're fairly certain Rich is the only person to have both held a one handicap in polo and been a road manager for Jimmy Cliff.
Zack joined the CrowdFlower team as Assistant Product Manager before rising to his current position as Vice President of Sales and Services. Prior to his jump to high technology, Zack did a stint as a professional volleyball player in Europe. He has fostered enduring business relationships with most of CrowdFlower's largest clients, including Fortune 100 software companies, universities, and blue-chip investment firms, and helped the company grow from a nine-person startup to a the company it is today. Zack writes and speaks on startup sales, and advises a number of Silicon Valley private companies. Zack graduated with Honors in History from the University of California at Berkeley.
Jeff is a startup veteran and has more than 20 years of technology and engineering delivery experience. Before to joining CrowdFlower, Jeff was CTO of a mobile and cloud sales platform, and prior to that he led engineering teams at Zinio, ModCloth and Copart. Jeff has a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Jeff is what you would call a “VitaMix enthusiast” – no doubt those delicious green drinks help him keep up with his five sons and daughters. He's planning an epic journey to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro before 2016.
Before joining CrowdFlower, Tatiana founded and ran a mobile app company with hundreds of thousands of users, and led Marketing and User Experience at DonorsChoose.org. As VP of Product, Tatiana ensures CrowdFlower delivers the highest impact development for the job creation platform and quality control mechanisms. She graduated from Princeton University with a degree in public policy. Tatiana enjoys Bughouse Chess, a particular style of the game played by Product and Engineering at CrowdFlower.
