This post is one in a weekly series in which we highlight one of the many amazing and diverse people who work on CrowdFlower tasks. There are many stories hidden within the world’s largest workforce. This is just one.
Meet Kata D.
Describe your hometown:
Budapest is the capital of Hungary, a frequently visited tourist destination and a home to more than two million people. It is famous for the baths, bridges and… paprika.
What made you interested in microtasking?
I wanted to see how easily and quickly I could adapt to new tasks every day. Besides the earnings coming in handy, my main motivation was to see whether I could be good at tasking.
How did you find CrowdFlower and how do you like tasking with us?
I found CrowdFlower through searching online for microtasking sites. CrowdFlower was the only one that still accepted newcomers and people from outside of the United States. I am so glad I signed up!
What do you do for fun? (when you’re not tasking, of course)
I am a hobbyist photographer so I spend quite a lot of time searching for new locations and interesting characters to photograph in and around Budapest.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
If I could travel anywhere in the world right now, I would probably visit Norway. I love the language, the mentality of people, and the amazing scenery.
What is something that you have always dreamt of doing?
I would have loved to try out a variety of sports that I am now too old to start professionally. I have always admired the ski jumpers, so that would be one thing I would have loved to try out.
Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about yourself?
I have a small personal website at www.katadeak.com.
You are more than welcome to check out some of my photography!
