Presentation Details

TRAIN AI provides an open-minded environment where experts in complementary fields can learn and formulate collaborative ideas. Please keep this in mind when preparing your presentation. Ideally, the talk should integrate your area of expertise and focus on making machine learning work in a human world and how AI is being applied to real business problems.

If you wish to preview your presentation on the show computer, please visit the tech table between 8:15am – 8:45am on Wednesday, May 17, 2017.

Audio/Visual Info

Each room will be supplied with a Mac computer hooked up to a projector. We will provide a slide advancer and a confidence monitor that displays current slide and presenter notes. We require that you send us your slideshow presentation no later than Monday, May 5th at 5pm PST. Please mark this date in your calendar.

When you send us your files in advance, we test it on our show computers and ensure the aspect ratio is correct, all fonts and images display correctly, and that any video plays smoothly. We can’t guarantee an error free presentation or troubleshoot problems if we haven’t received your file in advance.

Please send us your presentation as .pptx or Keynote file formatted for a 16:9 aspect ratio. Be sure to include all fonts used, and ensure any media files are embedded. (Read this for help on linked vs. embedded files & here’s a video on how to embed your fonts on PPT)

All embedded video files must be .mov, .mpeg, or .mp4. Do not use .wmv or any other file types. If you need to convert your files, we suggest you use VLC.

Please ZIP all your files and send via email or Google Drive to

There will be an opportunity for you to preview your presentation on the show computer on May 17. Those times will be posted when they are confirmed.

As a back-up, please bring your presentation on a flash drive. Be sure to bring a copy of all media files and fonts, even if they are embedded in your presentation. Let us know right away if you have additional A/V needs or questions.

Need a few tips on how to prepare your presentation? Here are a few:
